Russia made the 1st move

Now this is just scary. If I ever feared another country, Russia is it.

170+ American citizens were evacuated from the Replublic of Georgia in 2 military convoy's. It would seem Russia was 1st slapping the US in the face according to the news, as Georgia is an American alli. Did I hear this correctly, Georgia houses a national fuel pipeline to the US? One of which was hit by bombs?

The diseaster seen over there thus far is tremedous. Russia appears to not be sticking to it's word. Bush, McCain and Obama have all issued statements demanding that Russia cease fire.

What is next in this war over Georgia? How escalated can this get?

I heard Pat Robertson say today that this can only last a few days, because Russia knows it overstepped its bounds and that the rest of the world will come down on her.

When this started a few days ago, I asked my husband if he had heard about the shooting over the Russia/Georgia border. He looked right at me and said, "Is Bari alright?" She lives in Augusta.

I hear ya, JJ's eye's bugged out of his head when I said Georgia. Quickly realizing what he was thinking, I had to laugh, then direct him across the map.

No, we haven't been invaded as far as I know. The only thing we were invaded by was a heat wave and a drought.

Oh, and Russia is a hot topic for people who like to piece together the puzzles of prophecy, and this only seems to set the ball in motion for a Russia-Iran military alliance, especially with the news that Israel is planning an attack on Iranian missile installations. Perhaps this is more prophecy being fulfilled.

Okay...so Russia did not make the 1st move, Georgia did.

Has the cease fire been confirmed?

That's what Russia says, but both sides are giving conflicting reports. Georgia's first move was trying to reclaim a seperatist province that had rebelled, much like a civil war. Russia saw their opportunity and got involved in a situation they should have stayed out of, but it's pretty obvious they wanted that piece of land back because it's a former tourist hot spot for the Soviets, and just down the road is a resort that will be used in the 2014 Olympics. Russia got their excuse, but both Georgia and an AP reporter have both confirmed that Russia betrayed the truce. Georgia says Russia raided and looted the city of Gori. The seperatists from Georgia also got in a shot at us by saying the Georgians had learned "the American way of running."
